Tom Cruise 'dreams of murdering Hitler'
US actor Tom Cruise says he had always dreamt of killing Adolf Hitler, revealing one of his motives for starring in his latest film featuring a plot to murder the Nazi leader. In Valkyrie, the 46-year-old plays the role of Colonel Stauffenberg, a German officer plotting to kill Hitler during World War II. "I've always wanted to kill Hitler. I hate that guy,'' said Cruise, who was born 17 years after Hitler's death. "Studying Stauffenberg and his life, I came to greatly admire him... Although the story takes place during World War II, I found the story ageless,'' he told a news conference in Seoul, where he was promoting the new Hollywood film. He described making Valkyrie as a "very powerful experience'' which he hoped his performance would communicate to the audience. Valkyrie arrives in Asia on Thursday, opening in South Korean cinemas, director Bryan Singer said. "We chose (South) Korea as the first Asian country to release the movie because it's an extraordinary rising market for both local and international films,'' Singer told the conference, sitting alongside Cruise. Cruise took part in a hand-printing ceremony in front of some 500 fans in South Korea yesterday. One of the most popular Hollywood stars here, he has visited three times before to promote Interview with the Vampire,Mission Impossible 2 and Vanilla Sky. Valkyrie is also released in Australia on Thursday.

Is Michael Jackson Dying?
Michael Jackson is not suffering from any life threatening diseases. Everyone can relax. Reports of his ailing health have been extremely exaggerated.
Reports over the weekend that Jackson has some newly revealed sickness requiring a lung transplant are totally hokum, I can assure you.
Yesterday I spoke to one of Jackson's regular insiders who reported that the kooky former King of Pop is just fine, playing with his kids, and living large in a house he can't afford in Beverly Hills.
On top of that, it was just a few days ago that this columnist spoke with Darren Julien, the man arranging the big Jackson memorabilia auction in Los Angeles next April. Our conversation occurred just before the "news" of Jackson's illness broke. Julien told me that his dealings with Jackson and Jackson's manager, the enigmatic Dr. Tohme Tohme, and they were proceeding without incident. Jackson wasn't ill, and, Julien said, "seemed really organized" about the sale.
Over the years, Jackson illnesses have been identified as vitiligo, Lupus, addiction to prescription pain killers, and laziness. He's also a publicity hound who thinks that news of illness will make him sympathetic to the public. He learned this from Elizabeth Taylor, his one-time best friend.
More importantly, Jackson remains in financial peril thanks to his recent settlement of a $7 million lawsuit with Prince Adbulla of Bahrain. Additionally, Jackson just refinanced his Neverland ranch with Colony Capital LLC and Thomas Barrack because of his never ending need for cash. Apparently, he's used the money to squander it on a new expensive home rental rather than just return to Neverland or live in his parent's home in Encino, California, where he holds the mortgage.
But dying or in need of emergency surgery? Not Michael Jackson. It was just recently that he ventured outside his house wearing a Zorro mask to get attention. An easier way might be just to make an album or perform a concert.

9 Year-Old Gets Six Figure Movie Deal for “How to Talk to Girls" Guide
Fox Broadcasting Company has gotten on board for adapting a film from the self-help book of 9 year-old breakout writer, Alex Greven. As reported by Reuters, the fourth grader’s recently published book, “How to Talk to Girls” has earned him a six-figure deal with the broadcasting company.
Greven’s book was discovered after he began selling it as a handwritten pamphlet for $3 at a book fair at his school. The Colorado student later earned a publishing deal with Harper Collins, which led to the contract with Fox. Fox reportedly initially declined the book, but changed their mind after witnessing the high volume positive reception it has received.
Tips from “How to Talk to Girls” cover everything from how to dress and comb one’s hair to cutting down on sugar to reduce being hyper. The book also identifies pretty girls as those who “have big earrings, fancy dresses and all the jewelry but are like cars that need a lot of oil.”

Will Smith: "We're Definitely Going" to Obama's Inauguration
Expect to see Will Smith and his family at Barack Obama's inauguration on Jan. 20.
"We're definitely going," he told reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of Seven Pounds on Tuesday. "We'll go there and just cry -- probably two, three days in a row. Just lots of crying. We'll probably cheer a lot, too."
He's not the only celeb who's flocking to Washington D.C.
Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon, Marcia Cross, Tim Robbins, Seal, Adrian Grenier, Ashley Judd, Jane Krakowski, Rachael Leigh Cook, Spike Lee and Ron Howard are confirmed to attend as well. Rumors are swirling that Beyonce, Diddy and Mary J. Blige may perform.
There also will also be a slew of unofficial inauguration balls, including the American Music Inaugural Ball (hosted by Dionne Warwick); the Purple Ball (hosted by Lou Gossett Jr., with Ashley Judd and Patricia Arquette as guests); and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (featuring performances by Cyndi Lauper and Melissa Etheridge).

HBO, Winfrey's production company reaches deal
NEW YORK — HBO and Oprah Winfrey's production company say they have reached an exclusive three-year deal to develop movies and miniseries.
Winfrey's company, Harpo Films, had been working with ABC for 15 years.
Kate Forte, head of Harpo Films, says she expects to make a more eclectic mix of programming than was featured on ABC, which focused on movies positive in tone. She said HBO was a better fit, although she wouldn't detail any of the material she has in mind.
It hasn't been discussed whether Winfrey would act in any of the projects.
