McCain Pulling Resources from Michigan.

ST. LOUIS (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain is withdrawing staff and resources from Michigan in order to concentrate on other states where his prospects are stronger, a campaign aide said on Thursday.

McCain had harbored hopes of winning the state, but three polls in the last week has had Democrat Barack Obama with a double-digit lead in the Midwestern state, which has gone to the Democratic candidate the last two elections.

"Certainly, Michigan was going to be a challenge for any Republican in this climate," said the McCain campaign official.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the McCain camp was happy to have spent enough time and money there to force Obama to defend the state.

McCain, an Arizona senator, had a lead in national opinion polls after his Republican nominating convention in early September but that lead has evaporated in the last two weeks.

McCain got himself into trouble for saying the fundamentals of the U.S. economy were strong, a statement that was proved wrong by the Wall Street financial crisis. He also was perceived by many Americans as having lost his first debate with Obama last week.

The McCain campaign official said staff and resources stationed in Michigan will be moved to other battleground states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

reborn-baby.com. Fake Babies. Sell Big on Ebay.

These "reborn babies." are a new hot trend in the US. but especially in the United Kingdom. These extremely life-like dolls are replicas of real newborns. Those who build them spend a lot of time and money creating babies that seem real. Some even areo warm to the touch, it's heart beats.  They even weigh the same to make them feel like babies. Eyelashes, hair, nose holes, and half-moon all the nails were meticulously added to the wrist. The end result actually looks like a real child: Some people even take them to the store and pretend they are real.  Maybe for attention?    Ebay also sells many of them.   www.reborn-baby.com.

Gwen Ifill, the moderator of VP Debate is in a wheelchair.

Interesting,  she is concerned about her reputation.  This problem with her book is not about her,  it is about a very, very important debate and fariness.  And she has a habit of not telling people important information.  This is a problem in my view.

Gwen Ifill is the moderator of tonight's debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. She surprised many when she showed up for the debate in a wheelchair. It turns out she injured herself on Monday and needs the chair to get around.

She probably won't need the chair for the actual debates. Either way, Gwen Ifill doesn't care what the blogosphere has to say about her in any event.

"I’ve got a pretty long track record covering politics and news, so I’m not particularly worried that one-day blog chatter is going to destroy my reputation," she said. "The proof is in the pudding. They can watch the debate tomorrow night and make their own decisions about whether or not I’ve done my job."

Indeed we shall, Ifill. Indeed we shall.

ACORN and Voter Registration Fraud

We have had alot of questions regarding ACORN and Voter Fraud.

Here is the answer according to Wiki.

ACORN and Voter Registration Fraud

In some locations, ACORN employees have submitted false voter registration forms rather than obtaining registrations from actual eligible voters.

  • In Ohio in 2004, four ACORN employees were indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms.[17][18]
  • In January 2005 two Colorado ACORN workers were sentenced to community service for submitting false voter registrations.[19] ACORN's regional director said, "we find it abhorrent and do everything we can to prevent it from happening."[20]
  • On November 12006, four part time ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City, Missouri for voter registration fraud. Prosecutors said the indictments are part of a national investigation.[21] ACORN said in a press release that it is in part responsible in these individuals being caught, has fired them, and has cooperated and publicly supported efforts to look into the validity of the allegations.[22]
  • ACORN was investigated in 2006 for submitting false voter registrations in St. Louis, Missouri. 1,492 fraudulent voter registrations were identified.[23][24]
  • In 2007, five Washington state ACORN workers were sentenced to jail time.[25] ACORN agreed to pay King County $25 000 for its investigative costs and acknowledged that the national organization could be subject to criminal prosecution if fraud occurs again. According to King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg, the misconduct was done "as an easy way to get paid [by ACORN], not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections."[26][27]
  • In 2008, the Michigan Secretary of State office told the Detroit Free Press that ACORN had been submitting a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications to vote.

Oprah's Mother files countersuit over bill Valentina inc

WAUKESHA , Wis., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Oprah Winfrey's mother has filed a countersuit against a Wisconsin clothing boutique claiming if it hadn't extended her credit she wouldn't owe it $150,000.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Winfrey's 73-year-old mother, Vernita Lee, argued in court papers that she shouldn't have to pay the bill for purchases and interest Valentina Inc., said she owed because the store allowed her an open-ended charge account even though it was aware she has trouble managing debt.

Her filing described the account as "unconscionable, and therefore, unenforceable because Valentina knowingly and unfairly took advantage of Lee's lack of knowledge, ability, and/or capacity when Valentina created the account."

In a separate incident dating to 2002, Lee was ordered by the court to pay Valentina a lump sum of $35,000, then make monthly payments of $5,000 until another past-due bill of $174,285 was paid. Lee eventually paid off that bill.

A court order dismissing that case included the phrase, "Valentina Boutique, Inc., shall not at any time extend further store credit to the Defendant, Vernita Lee," the Journal-Sentinel said.

However, Lee's new court filing claimed she has had an open-ended charge account with Valentina since January 2004. It is through that account that she has allegedly racked up the most recent charges, the newspaper said.
