All Life is Subjective. Many People in China live on 2 dollars a day. John Paul Dejoria was homeless before becoming part of Paul Mitchel Hair Care and becoming a Millionaire. He looked at being homeless not as a catastrophe but he was grateful that he lived in a place where he could live on 3 dollars a day. He lived in his car and describes how to live on 3 dollars a day. Now that is optimism.

Pennsylvania has not gone for a Republican candidate for president in 20 years, and several polls indicate Obama maintains a double-digit lead here. But, on an electoral map that looks increasingly grim for McCain in swing states such as Virginia, Colorado and Florida, advisers said they have reasons to hope in Pennsylvania. Obama lost badly to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in this state's primary, in part because he struggled to connect with white working-class voters. Because Pennsylvania does not allow early voting, McCain has more time to make his comeback.

When the framers of the Constitution considered an executive branch, they were still stinging from the despotic rule of King George III. Ultimately, the framers saw the need for a single person to head an executive branch with enough authority to be quickly responsive to crises.
T here are few Constitutional qualifications: The president must have been born in the United States(or on American soil abroad). He or she must be age 35 upon taking office and must have spent at least 14 of those years living within the United States (it doesn't specify if those years must have been consecutive) [source: U.S. Constitution Online]. As far as the Constitution is concerned, anyone who can meet those three requirements is eligible to be president of the United States. There are, however, some less formal prerequisites for taking the job.
The grueling campaign process is one obstacle that the American political system has created to vet candidates for the presidency. For more than a year, a candidate must compete against other members of his or her party in the primary race, be nominated at the convention and then campaign against nominees from other parties for the general election. Political connectedness and experience is essential, as is winning public opinion.
The Constitution lays out rules and duties for the president.
This is the extent of the president's duties, and later amendments and laws further shaped the presidency. The 22nd Amendment (ratified after Franklin Roosevelt's record three full terms) limited the president to two terms, although these needn't be consecutive: President Grover Cleveland served two terms with a four year hiatus in between. The succession of power in the event of the president's removal or incapacitation was delineated in 1947: Next up is the vice president, the speaker of the House, the Senate president pro tem and then the members of the Cabinet, beginning with the secretary of state and ending with the Secretary of Veteran's Affairs.
A few presidents, like Chester Arthur and William Taft, took a narrow, exclusively constitutional interpretation of their powers. This has been the exception and not the rule, however. It's been the interpretation of the inherent powers -- those not expressly granted in the Constitution -- that's created the presidency we see today.

Fifth-grader Jordan Hood thought the bloody vampire he drew in art class was scary, but he had no idea it would elicit a horrifying response from one of his teachers. Tuesday morning, Jordan was assigned to draw a scary Halloween mask in art class. By the end of the day, Jordan was being told he could not return to Pooler Elementary School until he passed a psychological evaluation. "We live in an age where there is some hypersensitivity," Bucky Burnsed, Savannah-Chatham school system spokesman, said Thursday. "But the child is back in school where he belongs." During art class Tuesday, Jordan drew a scarred vampire with bloodshot eyes and with blood dripping from its nose, mouth and down its cheeks. Art teacher Lloyd Harold helped the boy shade the sketched eyes to give the drawing an even creepier look. "The assignment was to draw a scary mask or picture - basically a Halloween activity," Harold said. As a final gory touch, Jordan used a red marker to write "I Kill For Blood" under his drawing. The picture was not destined for the cover of Fangoria magazine, but it fulfilled the requirement for fifth-grade Halloween art. However, when Jordan's homeroom teacher, Melissa Pevey, saw the drawing, she found it disturbing. Pevey was concerned enough to contact assistant principal Valerie Johnson and Campus Police. But it wasn't blood and gore that bothered Pevey. She believed the blood looked a lot like gang-related teardrop tattoos, and she thought the words "I Kill For Blood" could be tied to an infamous Los Angeles street gang known as The Bloods. Jordan's mother, LaKisha Hood, was shocked to find that her son's art lesson had evolved into a gang investigation. "They told me the droplets could actually be a gang symbol for the number of people he killed," she said. Burnsed said the district has asked teachers to be wary of anything that might be harmful to students. He also said the district has provided gang-identification training. He did not know whether classroom teachers were trained in gang symbolism. "The teacher was concerned and referred it to the Campus Police," Burnsed said. "(Campus Police Capt. Joan) Sasser wasn't sure that it meant anything." So they resolved the issue by requiring Jordan to undergo psychological testing with Gateway Mental Health. Jordan's family didn't want him to miss school, so he went in for testing first thing Wednesday morning - getting him back to school in time for the fall dance that afternoon. Although he only lost about two hours of instruction, his mother fears the incident also might cost him a bit of innocence and trust. "He didn't know anything about gang symbols until the teacher accused him," she said. "We moved to Pooler thinking he'd be in a more diverse school with better opportunities. "And so far, it hasn't been a pleasant experience."

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — At least three people are dead and 19 others had to be rescued after a boat carrying immigrants ran aground off Miami Beach.
The Coast Guard says the boat ran into trouble early Friday morning.
Twelve people are being questioned on a Coast Guard cutter. Another three were taken to the hospital for evaluation, and four were in custody with border patrol.
It was not immediately clear where the boat was coming from, but authorities say they believe at least some of the passengers are immigrants. Immigration officials believe there were 20-30 people on the vessel. Search and rescue crews are combing the waters to make sure no one was missed.

DALLAS - Two minor earthquakes shook the Dallas-Fort Worth area late on Thursday and early on Friday, but no significant damage was immediately reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey said an earthquake with a 2.5 magnitude was reported at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, centered in the Grand Prairie area.
The agency said a slightly stronger quake, at 3.0 magnitude, occurred at 12:01 a.m. Friday, centered in Irving about 10 miles west of Dallas.
USGS geophysicist Randy Baldwin said aftershocks could last several days.
Law enforcement agencies across northern Texas received some 911 calls from people who had felt the quakes.
An April 7 earthquake in southern Texas had a 3.7 magnitude.

Is this a little taste of what is to come in an Obama presidency?
Journalists from three major newspapers that endorsed John McCain have reportedly been booted from Barack Obama's campaign plane for the final leg of the presidential race.
The Washington Times reported Friday that it was notified of the Obama campaign's decision Thursday evening -- even though the paper has covered Obama from the start.
Executive Editor John Solomon told FOXNews.com that the Obama campaign said it didn't have enough seats on the plane, but "I don't think the explanation makes sense to us."
"We've been traveling since 2007 with him. ... We're a relevant newspaper -- every day we break news," Solomon said. "And to suddenly be kicked off the plane for people who haven't covered it as aggressively or thoroughly as we are ... it sort of feels unfair."
He said the newspaper protested but was turned down again by the campaign.
"I can only hope that the candidate who describes himself as wanting to unite the nation doesn't have some sort of litmus test for who he decides gets to cover the campaign," Solomon said, noting that the Obama campaign's decision came just two days after the paper endorsed McCain.
The New York Post and Dallas Morning News also have been kicked off Obama's plane, according to the Web site The Drudge Report. It said the three reporters were told to find alternative transportation by Sunday so that the plane could accommodate "network bigwigs" and reporters from two black magazines, Essence and Jet.
Representatives from the New York Post and Dallas Morning News could not be reached immediately for comment.
Obama's not the only candidate to play hardball with the press. McCain's campaign has reportedly barred columnists Joe Klein and Maureen Dowd, who have been critical of the Republican candidate, from its campaign plane.

Ligers are the offspring of a male lion mating with a tigress, and they are known to be enormous (see picture) and tremendously fierce. It's unclear why combining male lion DNA with female tiger DNA results in a creature who is much bigger than either species. But sometimes the results can be deadly, as a volunteer at the Wagoner County wildlife sanctuary in Tulsa, Oklahoma, learned yesterday.
In a tragic turn of events, Rocky the liger attacked the man feeding him, biting his neck and chest. The man remains in critical condition and the Wagoner County wildlife sanctuary is currently closed. Reports Cryptomundo:
According to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, accredited zoos frown on the practice of mixing two different species and have never bred ligers. Keeping the two species separate has always been standard procedure. However, the AZA has admitted that ligers have occurred by accident. Several AZA zoos are reported to have ligers. Safari’s Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary is not an AZA-accredited zoo.
Sounds like ligers don't occur in nature — only when big cats are cooped up in zoos together.
