Actress Heather Locklear was arrested in California Saturday night, People magazine reported.
According to gossip Web site TMZ.com, the former “Melrose Place” star was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired after she was pulled over in the Santa Barbara area.
Law enforcement officers reportedly told TMZ that alcohol was not involved in the incident, but that officials are conducting tests to determine whether the star was under the influence of drugs.
According to People, the actress has been coping with anxiety and depression and was released from an Arizona treatment facility two months ago.
Both People magazine and TMZ were not able to reach Locklear’s rep as of Sunday afternoon.
Locklear’s ex-husband, Bon Jovi guitarist Rickie Sambora, was arrested last Spring on a DUI charge, to which he pleaded no contest. At the time of the incident, the former couple’s daughter Ava was in the vehicle, TMZ reported.
