Heinz To Stop Using Chinese Milk In Products

SAN FRANCISCO -- H.J. Heinz Co. will stop using milk made in China for products in Hong Kong and the mainland, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday on its Web site, citing a company spokesman. Heinz would not tell the Journal where it will source milk from in those markets, citing competitive reasons. On Friday, Heinz recalled 270 cases of baby food in Hong Kong as a precautionary measure, after reports that tainted Chinese milk has sickened thousands of infants in that country.
