Customers Angry over Target Website Glitch.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- The Minnesota-based Target Corp. says a malfunction on its U.S. Web site incorrectly priced a $279.99 child's car seat at $42.99 one day.

Jennifer McNamara of West Palm Beach, Fla., thought she had hit the jackpot when she ordered the bargain-priced item only to get an e-mail from Target telling her the price was a mistake and her order had been canceled, the Palm Beach Post reports.

"I'm just angry," McNamara told the newspaper. "I'm so surprised Target did this."

Target spokeswoman Jana O'Leary said several items listed on the Web site Sunday were incorrectly priced.

"I'm not sure how the glitch occurred, but we sincerely apologize for the pricing confusion on Target.com," O'Leary said.

The Better Business Bureau told the Post it received 300 complaints Tuesday about the pricing discrepancies.
