Group Alleges Racially-Motivated Election Night Attacks by Chicago Police

How is this racism?? Because they were African American? So, am I to believe that if you are African American and something happens to you it is automatically racism? I am not saying this was not wrong to have this happen to them but I am trying to understand why it is automatically called racism. I didn't hear any thing racial just violent.
