Auburn Alum and Miami Dolphins Player Ronnie Brown Fined for Performing Cupid Shuffle

Before he went by the moniker Cupid, Bryson Bernard earned a scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for track and field, where he brought it for the Ragin’ Cajun Track Team. Now as a singer, he gets crowds ragin’ with the Cupid Shuffle.

Recently, the NFL fined three members of the Miami Dolphins $10,000 each for performing the Cupid Shuffle at a game against the San Diego Chargers, since according to league regulations, choreographed celebrations by two or more players simultaneously warrants punishment.

Running back Ronnie Brown, an Auburn alum, told the Sun-Sentinel, “We were enjoying ourselves, having fun.” And that’s the point of the Cupid Shuffle, though apparently not the point of playing football.
